An informative and impactful awareness session on “Drug Abuse and How to Lead a Healthy Lifestyle” was conducted on 21st July 2025 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Vidya Mandir, Irinjalakuda. Organized by the Vimukthi Club, the session aimed to educate students on the dangers of substance abuse and the significance of making healthy life choices. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Mrs. Sareena, who warmly greeted the guest speaker, dignitaries, staff members, and students, while highlighting the relevance of the topic in today’s context. The session was led by Mr. P.M. Jadheer, Exercise Officer and Vimukthi Club Coordinator, who addressed students of Classes 10 and 12. His engaging and informative presentation shed light on the harmful effects of drug addiction and encouraged students to embrace healthy habits, resilience, and positive choices. The event was graced by the presence of the Principal, Mr. Biju Geevarghese, who stressed the importance of awareness, discipline, and timely guidance in students’ lives. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Sujatha Ramanathan, also attended the session and inspired students to stay focused and make wise decisions for a better future. Members of the Vimukthi Club committee played an active role in the smooth conduct of the programme. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Head Boy, Vaibhav, who expressed sincere gratitude to the resource person, school leadership, and everyone involved in organizing the meaningful session. The awareness programme was well-received by the students and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying vigilant, informed, and committed to a drug-free and healthy life.
