Swachhata Pakhwada Activities at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Irinjalakuda
Swachhata Pakhwada was actively observed at our school from September 1 to September 15, 2024, with various initiatives aimed at promoting cleanliness, sustainability, and personal hygiene.
Students were introduced to the 3Rs:Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, focusing on reducing plastic waste and adopting eco-friendly alternatives. Students, teachers, and staff joined hands for a comprehensive cleanliness drive, cleaning the school premises and surrounding areas. Creative expression was encouraged through the creation of posters and pamphlets on important themes such as water conservation and eliminating single-use plastics, which were displayed to raise awareness. Additionally, separate awareness talks were organized for students of classes 6 and 7, highlighting the importance of personal hygiene. These sessions emphasized key habits like proper handwashing, the significance of bathing, and overall cleanliness. Younger students in classes 1 and 2 also received valuable lessons on maintaining healthy habits, which included classroom cleaning activities, instructions on proper toilet use, and videos on daily hygiene practices.
