Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Irinjalakuda, conducted its Investiture Ceremony on June 25, 2025, marking the beginning of a new era of student leadership in the school. The event was graced by Major Dr. Rajesh Nambissan as the Chief Guest, with Executive Vice Chairman Sri. C. Nandakumar presiding over the function. Also in attendance were Secretary Sri. V. Rajan and management committee members Sri. P.K. Unnikrishnan, Adv. Anandavalli, and Sri. P.N. Menon.

The programme commenced with a solemn prayer, setting a dignified tone for the occasion. Principal Biju Geevarghese delivered the welcome address, extending warm greetings to the dignitaries and students. Major Dr. Rajesh Nambissan then addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech that included a reflective story from the Mahabharata, highlighting the importance of recognising and utilising one’s full potential. This was followed by a felicitations address by Adv. Anandavalli, adding to the ceremonial spirit of the event.

The highlight of the ceremony was the badge-giving event, during which democratically elected school leaders and assistant leaders were formally inducted into office. House captains, sports captains, co-curricular captains, and selected prefects from Classes 9 and 11 were presented with badges, symbolising the start of their new responsibilities.

The programme was efficiently coordinated by the Discipline Committee membersMrs. Anju K. Rajagopal, Mrs. Rosemy Shiju, Mrs. Nisha Nair, and Mr. Saleesh A. G. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Vice Principal Mrs. Sujatha P., and a memento was presented to the Chief Guest by Executive Vice Chairman Sri. C. Nandakumar.

The ceremony concluded on a high note as the newly appointed student leaders took their oath of office. The event stood as a testimony to the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership, responsibility, and teamwork among its students.
