Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Irinjalakuda, observed the 11th International Yoga Day 2025 with great fervour and participation on June 20, a day ahead of the official date, due to the upcoming PTA General Body Meeting.
The celebration began at 7:30 a.m. with a solemn prayer followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Students of Classes 9 ABC and 10 ABC led a mass yoga demonstration, performing a range of asanas and pranayamas, setting the tone for the day.
Following the group session, individual students took the stage to demonstrate various yoga postures, while the yoga teacher explained their health benefits. The event also featured a musical yoga demonstration, yoga formation, yoga dance, a skit, and chart presentations by students from Classes 9 and 10.
The programme concluded at 8:45 a.m. with a closing prayer. Additionally, a student of Class 12 delivered a speech on the importance of yoga during the morning assembly, emphasizing its role in physical and mental well-being.
The celebration successfully highlighted the importance of yoga in daily life and instilled a sense of discipline, mindfulness, and unity among students.
