Environmental Awareness

On September 26, 2024, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Irinjalakuda, conducted an enlightening environmental awareness class for Class 8 students, coordinated by Anju K Rajagopal, HOD of Humanities. Bedaniya Rose Sijo warmly welcomed the audience, followed by engaging presentations. Ashiaana highlighted "Environmental Concerns in Global Politics," emphasizing the need for collective action, while Sreya revisited the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio, stressing international cooperation. Anjaly explained "Common but Differentiated Responsibility," Neel discussed the importance of preserving "Global Commons," and Agna explored the geopolitical significance of Antarctica. Aushin focused on "India's Stand on Environmental Issues," and Aadikesh emphasized the role of indigenous communities in conservation. Devna concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks. This session fostered environmental awareness, critical thinking, responsible citizenship, and sustainable lifestyle choices, underscoring the importance of environmental education, youth involvement, and India's commitment to sustainable development.
