June 12th was observed as the Day Against Child Labour at Bhavan’s, with various awareness activities coordinated by the English Department. The day began with a speech during the morning assembly, highlighting the seriousness of child labour. Competitions in drawing and poster making were organized for students of Classes 3 & 4 and Classes 8 & 9, respectively. A meaningful awareness rally by students of Classes 5, 6, and 7 served as an eye-opener, sensitizing the school community to the harsh realities faced by millions of children. The rally was flagged off by Principal Sri Biju Geevarghese, whose inspiring address left a strong impression on the students. Overall, the observance was a heartfelt and united effort by the school to spread awareness and stand against the injustice of child labour.
